Freeze Pop Cozy Sleeve

Summer will be here soon and that calls for freeze pops. I know for myself, I enjoy having those adult freeze pops. When my girls were little they enjoyed the freeze pops, but of course the freeze pops were too cold to hold onto for long. Not anymore, here is a pattern for a freeze pop cozy. Adults and kids alike are now able to enjoy their freeze pops without their hands freezing. Just slide the cozy sleeve on and enjoy your freeze pop. Afterwards, put the cozy away or if it is time to wash your cozy, wash it in warm water on the delicate cycle and dry low temperatures or dry on delicate setting. Enjoy!!

Materials Used:

  • Cotton or acrylic yarn with a medium weight. The cotton yarn will absorb the moisture from the popsicle.

  • 4mm Crochet Hook

  • Tapestry Needle

  • Scissors

Abbreviations Used:

  • ch: chain

  • sc: Single Crochet

  • sl st: slip stitch

Instructions: We are going to work in the round on this project.

  • Ch 15 and sl st. Ensure not to twist the chain.

  • Row 1: Ch 1 and sc 15 times. Use a piece of yarn or a yarn marker to mark the end of the row. (Take picture of work in progress.)

  • Row 2 - 15: Repeat row 1. Sc for the next 15 rows. Finish off. If you would like a longer sleeve, feel free to add more rows; weave in your loose ends.

If you need help with the stitches, please let me know.

Be safe....until next time.
